Stranded persons rescued, says Kinnuar DC

Shimla, Jan 9 (UNI) Kinnuar Deputy Commissioner Sudha Devi today said all 200 people stranded in the disrict have been rescued.

The district administration has been able to rescue all the stranded people, she told UNI here.

Ms Devi said continuing heavy snowfall in the district had triggered an avalanche, which had left them stranded about five km from Sangla on the Sangla-Karcham road in the district.

However, power and water supply in the district has been affected badly due to heavy snowfall, she added.
