Storekeeper suspended for misappropriation of ration in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended a storekeeper of a sale outlet of village Zamboora in north Kashmir for mis-appropriation of ration and embezzlement of money.

An official spokesman said today that Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla has place under suspension the storekeeper with immediate effect.

He also ordered lodging of an FIR against the storekeeper who had shown the ration disbursed in books of record which actually had not been received by the consumers.

The spokesman said a committee has been constituted for the purpose which would furnish its report in the matter within 10 days.

Tehsildar Uri was also directed to see all records of the storekeeper and handover the same to the head of the enquiry committee so that the storekeeper was not given any chance to manipulate the entries, he said.
