Rupee opens almost flat at 39.285/295 against USD

Mumbai, Jan 9: The Rupee opened almost flat against US Dollar at 39.285/295 from its previous close of 39.27/28 per dollar though the local equity market was volatile.

The local unit eased slightly today against the greenback, however, strong capital flows are expected ahead on the weak note in US markets, dealers said and added that in the previous sessions, rupee moved towards a decade peak of 39.16 per dollar and suspected RBI intervention blocked the attempt.
