Record coal, raw sugar bulk loading at VPT

Visakhapatnam, Jan 9 (UNI) The Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) set a new record in loading most thermal coal and raw sugar in bulk in a day, here today.

According to a release from VPT, a total of 24,058 tonne of thermal coal in bulk was loaded into M V Apj Akhil, surpassing the previous best of 23,633 tonne.

In another all time high, the port set a record in handling Indian Raw Sugar in a day by loading a total of 5,160 tonne of sugar into M V Mi Rae, surpassing the previous best of 4,050 tonne.
