Marathi literature section in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Jan 9: The Madhya Pradesh government has set up a Marathi literature section in the state's Sahitya Akademi on the recommendation of the state cultural council.

This is in addition to the Allama Iqbal section functioning under the Sahitya Akademi for conducting activities based on the noted Shayar's contribution to literature.

The Marathi section was set up following the long-pending demand of Marathi-speaking people, who were in sizeable strength in Madhya Pradesh, says an official release.
