ICICI Prudential Life partners with AP Online, Dept of Posts
Hyderabad, Jan 9 (UNI) ICICI Prudential Life Insurance today announced that it had partnered with AP Online, the e-Government initiative of Andhra Pradesh government and the Department of Posts, to provide insurance services in villages in the state.
Addressing the press here, Company senior Vice-President and Rural Business Head Rishi Srivastava said the tie-up would enable the company's policyholders to gain access to an additional network of 730 AP Online branches and 382 post offices to make their premium payments in the state.
The tie-up with AP Online and postal department was yet another step towards building a seamless customer service experience. It would enable the customers to pay their premium in cash at the nearest centres, he added.
''With the company strengthening its presence in rural India through a robust multi-channel distribution, it is critical to provide our customers with newer avenues that are easily accessible to them,'' he said.
Stating that the total business of the insurance from April to December 2007, was Rs 100 crore as one million policies were sold, he said his company had 135 branches and 64 micro offices in Andhra Pradesh.
