Homeguard killed in road accident

Kanpur, Jan 9 (UNI) A homeguard was run over by a speeding truck at Tat Mill crossing here today.

Ashok Shukla (35), was hit by the truck, proceeding towards Jajmau, while he was on duty, police said.

Later, an enraged mob assembled near traffic police line crossing and demanded compensation to the victim's family.

Police has seized the truck, while its driver managed to escape.

Investigation was on.
