Meghalaya: Guard shot dead by miscreants

Shillong, Jan 9: Unidentified assailants shot dead a guard of a private fishery pond at Borsora village bordering Bangladesh, about 250 km from here, police said here today.

The incident occurred on January six when miscreants opened fire at the guard killing him on the spot and injuring his unidentified colleague, police said.

Later, the miscreants fled after committing the crime. Meanwhile, police registered a case and manhunt was on to nab the perpetrators.
