Employees demand regularisation of service

Puducherry, Jan 9 (UNI) The Joint Action Committee of the parttime and daily wages employees in the Union Territory today staged a dharna before the Legislative Assembly, demanding immediate regularisation of their service.

They alleged that the government was adopting a delaying tactics by citing cases pending in the court instead of taking steps to settle the cases.

As many as 300 posts were lying vacant in various government departments, they said.
