CPM (Pasla) extends support to anti-privatisation struggle
Jalandhar, Jan 9 (UNI) Punjab Communist Party Marxist (Pasla) has extended support to the joint struggle launched by 17 different organisations of workers, agriculture labourers and peasants under the aegis of Anti-privatisation Co-ordination Committee.
State committee secretary Mangat Ram Pasla, after a meeting of the state committee held here today said the committee strongly felt that the unbundling of Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) would adversely affect the peasants and workers along with the employees.
He said the move towards privatisations of educational institutions, health services, water supply and roads through the imposition of toll-tax has already worsened the plight of the poor.
The state committee exhorted its party units and public at large to contribute their full might for the success of actions planned by the coordination committee such as 'jatha march' from January 15 to 22, gherao of DC and SDM offices on January 31 and Punjab bandh on February 19, he added.
