Clerk at sub-registrar's office held for accepting bribe

Mumbai, Jan 9 (UNI) A senior clerk at the sub-registrar's office at Old Custom House in south Mumbai was arrested today while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 from a complainant for providing certain documents.

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sources said Bharat Jadhav had allegedly demanded the amount from Mr Bakul Dedhia.

Mr Dedhia agreed to pay the amount but simultaneously lodged a complaint with the ACB. Following the complaint, ACB sleuths laid a trap and arrested Jadhav while accepting the bribe.
