CBI files FIR in Supplyco cases

Kochi, Jan 9 (UNI) The CBI today filed five FIRs before the Ernakulam CBI Special Court, in connection with 'irregularities' in the supply of commodities to Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco), between 1998 and 2006.

Former Supplyco Managing Director D S Pulikesi is named in two FIRs, sources said.

Yesterday, CBI had conducted raids at the offices and residences of traders and contractors in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, who were supplying commodities to the Supplyco.

The agency had taken up the cases, following the Kerala High Court order.
