AITC should sever ties with NDA: Cong
Kolkata, Jan 9 (UNI) The State Congress today expressed hope that the All India Trinamool Congress(AITC) would sever ties with the NDA at the Centre and join hands with Congress to oppose the ruling Left Front in West Bengal.
While speaking to reporters here, CLP leader Manas Bhuiya questioned the justification of the Progressive, Secular and Democratic Front(PSDF), if AITC still remained faithful to the NDA in New Delhi.
All India Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee had formed a 17-party conglomerate Progressive, Secular, Democratic Front(PSDF) in the state, where she had urged the Left Front(LF) constituents to join the front.
''We urge Ms Banerjee to sever ties with the BJP-led NDA and form a genuine alternative to the LF in the state and also play a leading role in the front,'' the CLP leader said.
