5 collapse after consuming sweets

Kanpur, Jan 9 (UNI) As many as five children of a family fell unconscious after consuming poisonous sweets in Gujani area here today.

According to police, Ram Shankar, the elder brother of the victims, had sent these sweets at his house through his neighbour.

The children were rushed to hospital, where one was stated to be critical.

Police are yet to make any arrest in this connection.

Ram Shankar had been earlier arrested by police for other crime.

Investigation was on.
