20 yrs' sentence for smuggling brown sugar
Bhopal, Jan 9 (UNI) A special court today sentenced one person to 20 years imprisonment on the charge of smuggling brown sugar and fined him Rs two lakh failing which he would have to serve four more years.
According to prosecution, police had seized 840 gm brown sugar from Rajasthan's Jhalawad-resident Veer Singh from platform no 1 at Bhopal railway station on February 13, 2006.
Special Judge (NDPS) Shailendra Shukla delivered the verdict.
