176 candidates qualify in Combine Medical Service Exam
New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) As many as 176 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the medical posts in the Railways, Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service, Central Government Health Service and Municipal Corporation of Delhi on the result of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2007.
The examination were held by the Union Public Service Commission on January 21, 2007 for recruitment to medical posts under the Central Government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
The candidates recommended for appointment include 85 General Candidates (including five Physically Handicapped candidates), 59 candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (including two Physically Handicapped candidates), 19 Scheduled Caste and 13 Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Appointments to the various posts will be made according to the number of vacancies available, and subject to the candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions.
In accordance with Rule 13&14 of the Combined Medical Services Exam 2007, the Commission is maintaining a consolidated Reserve List of 28 candidates which includes 14 General and 14 Other Backward Classes candidates.
UPSC has a "Facilitation Counter" near Examination Hall Building of its campus. Candidates can obtain any information/clarification regarding their examinations/recruitments on working days between 1000 hours to 1700 hours in person or over telephone Nos.
