Two slipped to death, 1500 chicks roasted alive in Kashmir
Srinagar Jan 8 (UNI) Two people slipped to death and as many injured while 1500 chicks were roasted alive in the Kashmir valley, official sources said today.
They said one Mohammad Ashraf Mir was critically wounded when he fell down from a matador at Krangsoo Mattan in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
The injured was admitted to Seer hospital where he died.
Two people Hamid Magray and Masooda Firdous were injured when they were hit at Cherwan Kangan and Ashpora respectively by vehicles. They were admitted to hospitals.
They said an employee of Power Development Department (PDD) Mohammad Ashraf Bhat was wounded critically when he fell down from an electric pole at Khad Mill Alochibagh. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.
Sources said fire broke out in the house of one Abdul Salam Dar at Kesrigam in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Besides the house, a poultry farm was also gutted in fire killing all the 1500 chicks, they said adding there was no human loss.
The cause of the fire was not known, they said.
