''Several wholesale markets, including grain, medicine, canvas, utensils and pulses, remained closed to protest VAT regime,'' Kanpur Udyog Vyapar Mandal (a trader's body) general secretary Manikant Jain told UNI.
He said traders would go on an indefinite strike after the general body's meeting, which was called for tomorrow.
