Rs 7.27 cr worth plan for Chhatrapati Shahu birthplace development

Kolhapur, Jan 8 (UNI) The district administration has prepared a plan worth Rs 7.27 crore for preservation and development of Laxmi Vilas Palace, the birthplace of late Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, former ruler of the princely state of Kolhapur.

This was announced by District Collector Pravin Darade at a meeting of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Birth Place Preservation and Development Samiti held here today.

The plan will soon be submitted to the Maharashtra government for approval and necessary budget provision, he said.

Mr Darade added that the plan was prepared keeping in view that no changes were made to the original monument.
