New Delhi, Jan 8 (UNI) When it came to finding support for her relentless mission against corruption, first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi didn't have to scour elsewhere as it came from none other than her youngest sister, an immigration lawyer in the US, Anu Peshawaria who says, ''Kiran's resignation is their (administration) loss and not hers''.

Anu, who is in town for the launch of her book 'The Immigrant's Dream' at the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas says: ''Kiran's resignation from the Indian Police Service is their loss and not hers as she is not going to sit back.'' An immigration lawyer and social worker in the US, Anu said when she got to know about Kiran's resignation being accepted, her reaction was: '' Didi (Kiran), it is their loss, not yours''.

''Kiran is not going to sit back. She is still working through media, writing articles, holding seminars, social work and would continue to do so,'' said Anu.

Kiran Bedi, who quit police service recently by opting for voluntary retirement, had recently launched a new website, 'saferindia.com' extending help to those whose complaints are not heard by the police.

''When recently I asked Kiran to come and stay with me, she refused, saying she has the responsibilty and the task to work for the betterment of the Indian society and create awareness about various issues, ''Anu shared, adding'' Kiran does what she says''.

Anu credits Kiran and their parents for their inclination to work for the society and says '' I was lucky enough that being the youngest among three sisters I had the benefit of getting inspiration from Kiran while growing up.'' ''Kiran is very hardworking and has always worked for the society. Infact, everybody in our family is moved by injustice,'' she adds.

''I think by now everybody around Kiran and me, those working with us, must also have got inspired by our attitude to work for a cause, work for the society, Anu said with a smile.

Anu's 'The Immigrant's Dream' talks about the do's and dont's of NRI marriages citing real-life authorities and will be launched tomorrow by the Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi.
