Hydro power station to generate electricity by March 2008

Dehri-On-Sone, Jan 8 (UNI) The Shrikhinda and Sevari power projects of Bihar State Hydro Power Corporation (BSHPC) in Rohtas district would start generating electricity by the end of March this year.

Sources at the BSHPC said here today that to solve the power crisis in the district the Corporation was constructing 12 various power projects in cooperation with the NABARD. The power generation in Dhelabad and Nasriganj projects began last year.

The sources said Sevari power project and Parhama project were being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 6 crores and once completed they would generate 1000 MW each.The Shrikhinda project would also generate the same amount of electricity.
