HM, Mitsubishi Motors line up future models

New Delhi, Jan 8: It will be bonanza time this week for auto lovers with major companies unveiling an array of machines.

Around 20 new vehicles are expected to be launched by 45 domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers during the 9th Auto Expo to be held here. Apart from their other models on display at Pragati Maidan, Hindustan Motors&Mitsubishi Motors will line up their future models 'i-MiEV' and LANCER Evolution

i-MiEV is Mitsubishi"s vision for future in urban commuting. It is for the first time an electric vehicle can be charged (up to 80%) in 30 minutes flat, using a special charging system, as well as charged overnight using household electricity outlet. This electric vehicle balances environmental and driving performances at high level. i-MIEV represents the way forward for a Eco friendly urban commuting car.

The Lancer Evolution is said to be the King of rally championships. It is an enormously successful series worldwide. The new Lancer Evolution is being displayed to gauge Indian customer reaction which will enable a speedy decision on its launch plans for India.
