Dwellings of backwards torched by villagers in Bihar
Saharsa, Jan 8 (UNI) Villagers set ablaze seven thatched dwellings of the backwards at Parsaha village under Kahara block here last night.
Deputy Development Commissioner Chandrama Singh said here that the incident took place following a land dispute. He said the affected families had been given Rs 25,000 each for constructing houses under Indira Awas Yojana.
An FIR had been lodged against 19 people and two of the accused, Lalesh Gupta and Jayprakash Gupta, were arrested.
