Chief Parliamentary Secretary's nephew killed in accident
Hoshiarpur, Jan 8 (UNI) A nephew of Punjab's Chief Parliamentary Secretary was among three people killed in two separate road accidents in the district since last night, police said.
According to the police sources, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mohinder Kaur Josh's nephew Paramjit Singh of Phambra village and Joginder Singh of Kotli village died on the spot when their car rammed into a tree after being hit by a truck near Dausarka village early this morning.
The third person in the car, identified as Manjit Singh also of Phambra village was seriously wounded in the accident and was referred to a hospital at Jalandhar.
The three were on their way to Bhunga village when the accident occurred. A case under sections 304 A, 279 and 427 of the IPC has been registered against the truck driver.
In an another accident, Charanjit Singh of Maruhi village died after his motorcycle was collided with another vehicle near Gera village. The pillion rider identified as Mohinder Singh sustained injuries and was admitted to the civil hospital at Mukerian.
