Call money opens firm at 6.10-6.20 per cent

Mumbai, Jan 8 (UNI) Inter-bank call money rates opened at 06.10-06.20 per cent as against the previous close of 06.10-06.15 per cent.

During the intra-day trading, it touched a high of 06.20 per cent and a low of 06.00 per cent.

According to market watchers, liquidity situation has improved in a big way and call rates are expected to follow the same trend for coming few days.

Call rates, at which banks lend and borrow funds for their daily requirment, ruled around 5.00-6.00 per cent, yesterday.
