Bipasha Basu turns 29

New Delhi, Jan 7, 2008 : Born on January 7, 1979 in New Delhi, Bipasha Basu or Bips as she is called by most, hails from a Bengali family. Bipasha came into the limelight after winning the Ford Super model when she was just 17.

After winning the contest, Basu was flown to New York by the Ford Company, where she had a successful modelling career. But it was in films that Bipasha found her calling. Making her debut with Abbas Mustan's Ajnabee, she arrived in Bollywood as a promising new star.
