S C Tripathi appointed adviser to Nagaland Governor

New Delhi, Jan 7 (UNI) The Centre today appointed S.C. Tripathi as adviser to the Governor of Nagaland.

Mr Tripathi is a retired IPS officer of 1963 batch from the Madhya Pradesh cadre.

The role of the adviser would be crucial in view of the President's rule being imposed in Nagaland on January 3 following consideration of reports received from the Governor. The Legislative Assembly has been kept in suspended animation.
