HVPN augments capacity of Sirsa substation
Chandigarh, Jan 7 (UNI) The Haryana Vidyut Parsaran Nigam (HVPN) has augmented capacity of its 132KV substation at Ding in Sirsa district from 36 MVA to 48.50 MVA.
A spokesman of the Haryana Power Utilities said here today that capacity of the substation had been augmented by setting up an additional transformer of 12.5 MVA at a cost of Rs 2.20 crore.
He said that the setting up of the additional transformer would feed 33KV substations at Ding and Bahudeen of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).
As load on these 33KV substations had increased considerably the 132 KV substation at Ding was not able to meet the load with the previous transformation capacity of 36 MVA.
With the augmentation of capacity, the 33KV substations will get adequate power to supply to the consumers in their command areas.
The spokesman said that with the augmentation of capacity of 132 KV substation Ding, about 6500 consumers of ten villages under the command areas of 33 KV substations at Bahudeen and Ding would get benefit by way of increased voltage and regular power supply.
These ten villages have 1150 tubewell connections. Thus, agriculture sector of the area will be major beneficiary of the capacity augmentation of 132 kV substation Ding, he said.
