Hotelier's son among 4 arrested for kidnapping
Mumbai, Jan 7 (UNI) Four people, including a hotelier's son, were arrested by police here today on charges of kidnapping.
Gaurav Shetty (23), son of K R Shetty, the owner of Peninsula Hotel in Sion in Central Mumbai, was arrested with his friends -- Gaurav Solanki, Sushant and Jassi -- on charges of kidnapping Nakul Kanu, a person from his group, and allegedly assaulting him, said sources in Sion police station.
The officials said Kanu had posted some obscene matter about Shetty's mother on Orkut, which agitated Gaurav and he, along with his friends, decided to teach Kanu a lesson. Kanu was 'kidnapped' from Sion and taken to a secluded place and allegedly beaten up by the foursome.
A case of kidnapping and assault has been registered and further investigations are on, sources added.
