Fortis Financial to shed its NBFC status

New Delhi, Jan 7 (UNI) Fortis Financial Services Ltd today said its Board has decided to make an application to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for surrendering its non-banking finance company (NBFC) license.

The company said in a statement that if RBI approval is recieved, it will continue to carry on IT and IT related activities after deleting the objects of an NBFC company from the Memorandum of Association (MoA).

It will also look to change the name of the company to ''Religare Technova Ltd'' or ''Religare Logix Ltd'' or any other name as may be available with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
