Collective leadership not individuals imp for BJP: Jaswant
Jaipur, Jan 7 (UNI) In a sharp departure from the BJP leadership's move of projecting Ms Vasundhara Raje as the party's Chief Ministerial candidate for the next Assembly election in Rajasthan, senior party leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh has stressed the need for ''a collective leadership and responsibility''.
In a message sent on the occasion of the takeover of newly-appointed party state President Om Mathur, Mr Singh said it were the grassroot party workers and collective respsonsibility that was more important for the party and not individuals.
He said ''hero worship'' was not desirable and instead of this inspiration and encouragement to common party workers and better coordination between the party organisation and the government were of the vital importance.
''I am sure that Mr Mathur will ensure better coordination between the party organisation and government rather I shall like to request him for this,'' Mr Singh said.
