Villagers lynched 3 suspected Bangladeshi cattle smugglers
Coochbehar, Jan 6 (UNI) At least three suspected Bangladeshi cattle smugglers were allegedly lynched to death while five others were seriously injured by villagers at Shikarpur under Mathabhanga police station in Coochbehar district this morning.
Official sources said here today Mathabhanga Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ananda Ray, along with a police contingent, had reached the spot.
One of the suspected smugglers was killed on the spot while two others died on the way to the Mathabhanga Sub-Divisional Hospital, the sources said, adding that the condition of the injured was stated to be critical.
