One killed, 11 injured as van overturns
Kancheepuram, Jan 6 (UNI) A 45-year-old woman was killed on the spot and 11 others were injured when a mini-van in which they were travelling overturned at Palur in Chengalpattu in this district of Tamil Nadu today.
Police said the accident occurred when the front tyre of the van burst. As many as 12 people, including 11 women hailing from West Bengal, were returning to Chennai in jthe vehicle after visiting Mammalapuram, Kovalam and some temples here.
The injured were admitted to the Chengalpattu Government Hospital, the police added.
