Freedom Fighter Pandit Kedar Nath dead

Jaunpur, Jan 6: An eminent freedom fighter Pandit Kedar Nath Dixit died here late last night. He was 98.

Dixit was a resident of Dughauda village in Kerkat Tehsil.

He took active part in the struggle for independence and was also jailed several times for the same.

After independence, he served as a registrar at Sampoornanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi.

Dixit was today cremated at Manikarika ghat with full state honours.
