Cricket lovers burn umpires in effigy
Lucknow, Jan 6 (UNI) A mob of enraged Cricket lovers today burnt the effigy of umpires Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson for their alleged biased umpiring in the second Test match in Australia.
In Meerut, the irked mob took to streets at Kabari Bazaar and protested over the incorrect decisions given by the umpires.
The agitators alleged the biased decisions of the umpires was responsible for the India's lose, sources said.
Besides, they demanded that both the umpires should be removed from the Indian Cricket Council (ICC) panel.
The protest was witnessed also in Kanpur city.
