Congress seeks probe into death of party leader

Patna, Jan 6 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) today demanded a high-level probe into death of party leader and Mukhiya of Saurath Panchayat Babloo Jha.

Chief spokesman of BPCC Prem Chandra Mishra said the body of Jha was recovered from Rahika-Saurath road and alleged that police was trying to suppress the matter by citing ''accident'' as the reason behind his death.

''The action of the police was aimed at suppressing the matter by terming the death of Jha as the result of accident while it was a clear case of cold blooded murder,'' Mr Mishra observed adding only a high level probe would unravel the mysteries behind it.

Mr Mishra said Jha never hesitated to raise the issues affecting poor and downtrodden.He demanded government service to the next of kin of deceased and compensation to the aggrived family.
