Suspected Militant in UP Blasts on transit remand

Kolkata, Dec 30, 2007 : A court in eastern Kolkata city On December 29th gave transit remand to Aftab Alam Ansari, a suspected Bangladeshi militant arrested in the serial blasts in northern Uttar Pradesh state.

Ansari would now be taken to Lucknow, Capital city of Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested on December 28th. Police believe that Ansari could have supplied the RDX used in the blasts to one of his associates, arrested last week.
