Three dead, 18 injured in road accident

Krishnagar, Jan 05: At least three persons were killed and 18 seriously injured in a road accident at Mohishkhola under Karimpur police station in the district.

Police said here today that the accident occurred late last night when two private vehicles, moving at breakneck speed, tried to overtake each other and the drivers lost control over the vehicles, killing three persons on the spot.

The injured were rushed to the Karimpur and Krishnagar hospitals where their condition was stated to be critical, police added.
