Molestation case: 14 accused identified

Mumbai, Jan 5: All fourteen people, who were arrested in connection with molestation of two NRI girls in the early hours of January 1, were identified by two photographers of a national daily and three others in the Test Identification Parade today.

Photographers Satish Bate and Prasad Gore, who had clicked photographs of the incident, two ''panch'' witnesses and traffic inspector Amarjit Singh identified the accused during the Parade at the Arthur Road jail this morning. The fourteen accused have been identified as Nilesh Mangesh Bagaikar (19), Sudhir Sudam Naikwade (19), Krunal Shivaji Jadhav (20), Shabi Agustani D'Souza (18), Ajay Anil Marathe (18), Vaibhav Anil Marathe (19), Sandip Mani Panchal (23), Manoj Mani Panchal (21), Sandip Phulchand Shukla (19), Derick Mohan Jadhav (19), Swapnil Ashok Mandare (21), Siddharth Rajnish Singh (19), Amit Hemraj Kapoor (28), and Ravindra Phulgani Shukla (27).

All the fourteen were yesterday granted bail on a surety of Rs 10,000 each by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate B N Bondare.

However, they will have to be in jail till Monday as they are yet to provide surety.

The two California-based girls were allegedly molested by a mob of new year revellers outside a five-star hotel in northwestern part of the city in the early hours of January 1.
