IMFL worth Rs 1.10 lakh seized in Jamnagar

Jamnagar, Jan 5 (UNI) The crime branch sleuths recovered 252 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) valued at more than Rs 1.10 lakh near Lalpur bypass, last night and arrested one person in this connection.

Actingon a tip-off, a local crime branch team intercepted a car and recovered the liquor. Police have also impounded the car worth Rs six lakh, police said.

However, the driver of the car, Joseph Amon Sandhy, managed to escape, while the other occupant of the car, Altaf Bachubhai Manek (23), has been arrested.

A case has been registered against the arrested and the absconding accused, under the Prohibition Act and further investigations were on, police added.
