6 killed in road accident
Pilibhit, Jan 5 (UNI) At least six people died and four others were grievously injured, when a truck hit a tonga ferrying passengers in Bisalpur Kotwali area of the district today.
Police said the sugarcane-laden truck, going to Maksudpur Sugar Mill from Shahjahanpur, hit the tonga, in which six people were killed on the spot.
Four of the deceased were identified as Vishnu (16), Puja (12), Gautam Sharma (8) and Bhupram (55).
The injured had been admitted to hospital.
Following the accident, the truck driver fled the scene leaving the vehicle behind.
