Woman commits suicide after throwing daughters in well

Kancheepuram, Jan 4 (UNI) A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well after throwing her two daughters into it at Nallancheri, near Guduvancheri of the district this evening.

Police said the deceased identified as Anusuya threw two-year-old Keerthika and ten-month-old Madhumita in the well before jumping into it.

Fire and Rescue Services personnel recovered the bodies of the two children. Search for the body of the mother was still on when reports last came in.

Family dispute was said to be the reason for Anusuya, wife of Rajkumar (29), working in a company, taking the extreme step, police added.
