Music library, studio to be inaugurated tomorrow at Malegaon
Nashik, Jan 4 (UNI) ''Surmandir'' music library and ''Swarsanpada'' recording studio will be inaugurated in the presence of renowned musician Pt Yashwant Deo, tomorrow, at Samajshree Prashantdada Hiray Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Malegaon.
A concert of Pt Yashwant Dev will be orgainsed at R B H Vidyalay campus on the occasion. Pt Yashwant will also conduct a special workshop for music students on January 6, informed Sampada Hiray, Co-ordinator of the Institute.
Founded on July 3, 2005, the Institute is probably the first of its kind in the north Maharashtra region. It conducts courses in light and classical music and fine arts. It also imparts education regarding various instruments such as guitar, harmonium, tabla. Till date, 550 students have successfully completed various courses from the institute.
At present, there are 250 students completing various courses in the Institution affiliated to the Pune and Gandharva University college Miraj. The institute has formed a group ''Swaranjal'' group of rising stars to promote new talent, Mr Hiray told on the occasion.
