Mufti recommends names for State Corporations and Boards

Jammu, Jan 4 (UNI) People's Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has submitted to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad the names of his six party leaders for their appointment as Chairman and Vice-Chairman in various the state-owned corporations and boards.

''The letter, dated January 2, was forwarded by Deputy Chief Minister and senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig to Mr Azad on behalf of Mr Sayeed,'' a well-placed party source told UNI.

Six PDP leaders, nominated by the PDP patron, were Ms Mumtaz Kousar, Mr Choudhary Zulfikar, Mr Tasaduq Hussain, Mr Rafiq Khan, Mr Abdul Razak and Mr Nazir Ahmed, sources said.

''Ms Mumatz Kousar have been recommended for the Chairperson of Women Development Corporation, Mr Rafiq Khan as Chairman Pahari Board, Mr Choudhary Zulfikar as Vice-Chairman of State Gujjar and Bakerwal Board and Mr Tasaduq Hussain as Vice-Chairman Horticulture Marketing Board.'' UNI VBH DS DS1432
