Lt Bharadwaj to take over as GOC-in-C of Northern Command

Jammu, Jan 4 (UNI) Lt General P C Bharadwaj is likely to take over as GOC-in-C of India's largest operational Northern Command.

''Lt General Bharadwaj, who is presently commanding Leh based XIV Corps, will replace Lieutenant General H S Panag.

He is likely to take over the charge of GOC-in-C in March 1.'' a highly placed source in the Northern Command told UNI.

''Lt General Panag will be posted to the Lucknow based Central Command replacing Lt General O P Nandrajog, who is due to retire,'' sources said.

However, Lt General Panag will be making representation to Defence Minister A K Antony in Delhi tomorrow with regard to his posting as many inquiries initiated by him are still pending.
