Haryana revenue receipt stands at Rs 7,872 crore in H1FY07-08
Chandigarh, Jan 4 (UNI) Haryana Finance, Excise and Taxation Minister Birender Singh said the revenue receipts of the State in the first half of the current fiscal 2007-08 were Rs 7,872 crore against Rs 7,459 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
He said these receipts included Rs 5,654 crore of State Tax Revenue, Rs 1,625 crore of Non Tax Revenue and the balance of Rs 593 crore had been received from the Centre.
On the other hand, the capital expenditure on plan side during the first half of the current financial year was Rs 1,604 crore as compared to Rs 693 crore during the same period last fiscal, he added.
The Minister hoped the revenue receipts would further go up in the second half of the year, as compared to the revenue expenditure and the State would become revenue surplus by more than Rs 1,000 crore.
He also expected that the capital expenditure to reach at the level of about Rs 3,500 crore as compared to capital expenditure of Rs 2,428 crore during the year 2006-07.
He further informed that the size of annual plan of the year 2007-08 of Rs 5,300 crore would be exceeded by Rs 200 to Rs 250 crore, while the plan size for next year 2008-09 is expected to be at a level of about Rs 6,400 crore.
