DSGMC takes out procession to mark Guru Gobind's birth anniversary
New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) A colourful procession was taken out by the Sikh community on the eve of the birth anniversary of the last Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh.
The Nagar Kirtan, organised by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), commenced at the Gurdwara Rakabganj at 1030 hrs and ended at the Gurudwara Bangla Sahab in the late evening after passing through Pant Marg, New Delhi GPO, Ashok Road, Patel Chowk, Parliament Street, Regal, Connaught Circus, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Shivaji Terminal service road, Bhagat Singh Marg, Gole Market, Bhai Veer Singh Marg, GPO New Delhi and Baba Kharak Singh (BKS) Marg.
Though the police have announced traffic diversions and curtailment of bus services passing through Connaught Place and surrounding areas, in view of the procession, traffic was thrown out of gear and jams were caused at various places.
