CBI arrests DDA, DTA official while demanding bribes
New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) The CBI has arrested two officials -- one of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and one from the Delhi Transport Authority (DTA) -- while they were accepting bribes.
DDA's Assistant Director (Housing-MIG) Gurcharan was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2000. He had sought money from the complainant for giving an early date for execution of conveyance deed in respect of a plot allotted to him by the DDA.
Meanwhile, Pollution Test Inspector G S Raju, posted at Burari, was also caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8000. He had demanded bribe of Rs 1600 each from the complainant for issuance of No Dues Certificates (NOC) for conversion oh his five two-stroke auto rickshaws to four-stroke.
