BJP committed to development: Yadiyurappa
Hubli, Jan 4 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and former Karnataka chief minister B S Yadiyurappa said today that his party was committed to bring in the development in the Karnataka on the lines of Gujarat after securing absolute majority in the forthcoming election to the state assembly.
Talking to newsmen Mr Yadiyurappa, who was here to participate in party;s people awareness campaign here, said ,"my becoming chief minister after elections is not important. Party should secure absolute majority and come to power".
Replying to a question on change of party leadership in the state, Mr Yadiyurappa said party president Sadanand Gowda had done very well in strengthening the party and ninety per cent of the party workers want him to continue in the post.
To another question, he said party high command would decide on the distribution of party tickets to the aspirants including former legislators.
