'Weapons and Equipment' display at Rajkot from Jan 7

Rajkot, Jan 3 (UNI) A three-day ''Weapons and Equipment'' exhibition will be held here at Rajkot Race Course Ground from January 7.

The exhibition will be organised by Ahmedabad-based Golden Katar Infantry Division of the Indian Army.

The event will showcase Army's firepower arsenal of various fighting units including infantry, armour, mechanised infantry, artillery, air defence, electrical and mechanical engineering, ordinance, medical and signals equipment, an official press release said.

Highlights of the event will include military band, daredevil motorcycle riders, mounted assault by tanks, Malkhamb, Bhangra and Jhang Patak dance performances. Besides this, cadets from Gujarat NCC will display aero and ship modeling.

The cultural show will be organised under the aegis of the State Government during the three-day exhibition, the release added.
